Fifth Level Music Group

A passion for music combined with an interest in helping emerging artists achieve sustainable careers in writing, recording and performing their compositions prompted Susie Codd to study the business of music and to subsequently launch the Fifth Level Music Group.

In early 2008, Susie began managing Jazz/R&B/Soul recording artist, Nicolas Bearde, whom is also a founding member of Bobby McFerrin's innovative a cappella vocal ensemble, “Voicestra.” One of her achievements in working with Nicolas was to secure international performance opportunities in markets such as Eastern Europe, including the Russian Federation and Siberia.

In 2009, FLMG entered into a publishing agreement with SoHo-Records, Lima, Peru to publish their catalog for the United States/Canada territory. SoHo-Records is an independent record label owned by Oscar Bravo and Guillermo Delgado Aparicio. Adammo, Nella, The Apple Band Project, We All Together and Julie Freundt are signed to their label.

in 2010, the FLMG publishing catalog took another step forward with the signing of Swedish singer/songwriter, Marie Glad.  In 2011, FLMG added Bay Area Acoustic/Rock Quartet sensation ALMA DESNUDA to their publishing catalog.  Rounding out the genre mix was accomplished when ABC7 News Anchor Dan Ashley and his Classic American Rock band "PUSH" joined FLMG's management roster.  Susie's focus in 2011 and beyond will be working with music supervisors to help them pair up their music needs with FLMG's catalog.

Susie has nearly two decades of professional business experience in finance, marketing and project management. She holds a BS from Notre Dame de Namur University and an MBA from Golden Gate University. In December 2009, she graduated from the Berklee College of Music with her Masters in Music Business.  During her time at Berklee, Susie was awarded the "Herbie Hancock Celebrity Scholarship" for outstanding academic achievement.
